And so we read of the man who wishes to sell his life on ebay as bids passed $2m he declared himself delighted with the result. Not only his possessions were up for sale but his career and friendships, everything he saw as part of his life. we may wonder why, but I was left considering how cheaply he valued his life. What price can we put on our lives?I spoke to someone recently who had undergone tests for breast cancer, a young woman with a family, thankfully tests were benign, but what value does she place of life, priceless I should think.
God clearly agrees, having created all of creation he set mortals in charge of it. Place all this on ebay? I don't think so.
"Yet you made them (humans) inferior only to yourself;
you crowned them with glory and honour.
You appointed them rulers over everything you have made;
you placed them over all creation."
