Loch Lomond & Trossachs Trails

(Walk Grade A)

Easy/Gentle low altitude introductory walks of short duration (2-3 Hours) along paths and forest trails.  May be some steep ascents and descents.


Visit local destinations and places of interest
For the leisure walker who enjoys a short walk and visiting places of interest we are lucky to have a variety of trails and paths, taking us to local attractions and usually a well earned cup of tea.

Your Holiday


Your stay will be in the luxury of Gartmore House, all rooms are ensuite and many have wonderful views over Flanders Moss towards Stirling. Each room will contain tea and coffee making facilities, a pamper pack to ease out the day and a full set of maps and itineraries for your holiday. Our library is also well stocked with books on the local area.
All meals are freshly prepared by our Chef, using some of our garden produce, and provide a hearty wholesome fayre for your holiday. Any special diets can be catered for if the Chef is given notice prior to your arrival.
A drying room on site is provided for your clothing, should there be a downpour.

Transport

For those not travelling by car we offer complimentary transport from Stirling train station, and Glasgow and Edinburgh International airports.

Transport is provided where necessary to and from trails.

Monday

Arrive late afternoon to cream tea in the lounge and a warm welcome from the team and your walking guide.

After dinner  enjoy a short history of Gartmore House, the Cunninghame Graham family, politics passion and poetry.


Tuesday

Todays walking is based in Drymen a small village on the shores of Loch Lomond with coffee shops and local crafts. After a forest walk taking in views from loch lomond, we will enjoy afternoon tea at one of the many excellent coffee shops in Drymen.

Wednesday

Today's walk starts from Aberfoyle walk up the Doon Fairy Hill and hear the legend of the Reverend Kirk, then return for lunch.

Wednesday afternoon gives free time to explore on your own or visit a local attraction

Thursday 

Todays walk takes you  along the banks of Loch Ard into Loch Ard Forest, a beautiful route with magnificent scenery. Drop in for afternoon tea at Aberfoyle Wool 

Enjoy a well earned celebration dinner followed by musical evening
 

Friday

Depart after breakfast
