Home » Activity Holidays » Painting – Acrylics/Oil Acrylic Painting Our acrylic courses are designed to encourage beginners, while also helping those who want to develop their painting skills further. Tutor Suzanne Kemplay believes in building confidence, clear teaching of techniques and having fun. Everyone is different and Suzanne will work with you as an individual on the goals you agree on. Working over 4 days gives you the chance to really develop your work with Suzanne’s expert assistance to guide you through the process. Our painting holidays are for all abilities; our groups are small, to allow Suzanne to give you personalised instruction based upon your level of experience. Both the historic house itself, and the extensive grounds provide a relaxed and welcoming environment, and our spacious indoor studios are well equipped, bright and comfortable. Over the course of four days you will consider the art of composition, our inspiration and the elements that make up a painting. Suzanne will share drawing techniques to show you how shapes can be quickly developed, how to judge size, and create tone and atmosphere. She will also introduce you to colour theory, acrylic paint application, and techniques that will help you to create a beautiful finished painting on canvas.
