“If you’re looking to find the best indigo dyeing classes near you, you don’t have to look anywhere else. Trust me you will love it here.”

We’re always happy to hear when our guests enjoy their stay here at Gartmore House on one of our eco printing and indigo dyeing classes.

These indigo dyeing classes are unique to Gartmore House and we’re proud to say that we have the very best tutor available to teach you everything you need to know about the craft. After all, why only learn for a day when you could come for a holiday? Set in our beautiful period property, you’ll be amazed at what you can create by the end of your stay.

Get stuck in and get inspired to learn indigo dyeing alongside your fellow guests and our expert tutor.

Discover the magical processes of Imprint dyeing, creating patterns and colours using botanical material and eco techniques.

Join a creative weekend workshop with talented textile artist Liz Gaffney Whaite.

Liz will take you through the process of setting up an indigo vat from scratch, and you will learn the basics of Shibori on a variety of cloth.

Our workshops are suitable for beginners as well as for the more advanced participants and no matter your level, Liz will guide your creativity throughout the course.
