Crafting at Christmas

Calling all creative crafters and budding art enthusiasts. We have your next year’s Christmas all wrapped up for you. What better way to spend Christmas 2020 than with fellow crafters?

We are offering a wonderful and unique festive package, something completely different to the norm. Bring your paint brushes, knitting needles, sewing machine or whatever tickles your fancy and stay with us for Christmas 2020.  Work on your own projects at your leisure whilst mixing with the other guests.

You will be wined and dined for 6 nights, staying in comfortable en suite bedrooms, once home to Robert Cunningham Graham and then latter Sir Charles Cayzer. With a number of the rooms décor still oozing the period features and quaint charm from 1793.

It’s a “home from home”, so when sitting in front of that roaring log fire in the lounge, with your favourite tipple in one hand and a book, jigsaw or your sewing in the other hand, we would be miffed if we did not see your slippers on your feet.

The house has the most amazing calming and relaxing atmosphere. With a number of beautiful workshop rooms where you can mix with the other house guests chattering away, enjoying your art and craft at your own leisure.

Arriving on Wednesday 23rd December, with the option of making use of our complimentary pick up service from Stirling train station. Once arrived you will have time to settle into your room, enjoy at little bit of afternoon tea in the lounge, or take a walk around the grounds to stretch your legs before meeting your fellow guests in the lounge just before dinner.

For the next 6 nights you have the run of the house to use as your crafts and arts workshop, whilst mixing with the other guests.  You never know, one of the other guests may have a similar craft with them where you can share knowledge, hints and tips.

When your creative juices are running low or you’ve done enough exploring around the house and grounds, we do have some Christmas Festivities for you to enjoy throughout your stay if you fancy, all optional of course.

From a Christmas Eve service, to a Christmas pantomime, to a bit of musical evening entertainment.  Then maybe food for thought, to try your hand at a new craft or art for 2021; we will have demos from some of our in house tutors and local artist.

And of course, a Christmas break would not be Christmas without the aroma of that glorious mulled wine and most importantly the Christmas Lunch. There are numerous walks around the grounds to work off that Christmas pudding, with some stunning views for the all-important Christmas snaps.

So if you are interested in spending a unique break created for crafters please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
