Dating from 1793, Gartmore House is a characteristic property in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Your relaxation and enjoyment are at the heart of everything we do and with our comfortable facilities and cosy bedrooms, you’re sure to leave feeling better than when you arrived. We pride ourselves on working closely with both our tutors and guests to ensure your stay is everything you imagine it to be.
We have a mixture of single, twin, double, and multiple occupancy bedrooms available. Individually decorated with traditional Scottish touches and all with their own unique personality, our rooms are expertly serviced and the perfect place to unwind after a hard day’s crafting. Whether you are a solo traveller, a couple or a group of friends visiting we have a bedroom to suit your needs. Please see here for more information.
All workshop rooms, bedrooms, recreation areas and the restaurant are accessible via the lift.
We have one dedicated accessible bedroom in house which features an en-suite bathroom with assistance rails, grab bars and a ‘roll-in’ shower. Additionally, we have a number of other bedrooms which have a shower cubicle which may fit your requirements. All other en-suite bedrooms feature a bath with a shower. Please contact us should you have any queries regarding accessibility.
The Public Lounge
Our beautifully appointed lounge is the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings after a busy day of crafting. Enjoy a drink from our well-stocked bar, read a book or have a chat with friends in front of the open log fire, all whilst enjoying some of Scotland’s most incredible scenery.
We have a small, well-stocked library where you can relax with a book, play a board game with friends or enjoy our free in-house Wi-Fi.
Complimentary fibre internet is available for all guests and is available on the ground floor and public rooms.
Dog Rules at Gartmore House
We understand that pets are an extension of the family and we love to welcome dogs along to stay while you’re with us! However, we appreciate that not all guests are dog lovers, therefore, we have a 3-dog limit in the house at any one time. While staying with us, dogs must be kept in the guest’s bedroom, are not permitted in the public areas or dining areas and must be kept on a lead whilst in the grounds of Gartmore Estate. There is a £10 fee per dog per night. This fee will not apply to guide dogs or assistive dogs.
Free on-site parking is available for all guests throughout the duration of your stay. All cars are parked at owners’ risk.
Laundry and Ironing
We can provide a laundry service for guests. There is a charge of £5.00 per bag of laundry. Please note that while we aim for a quick turnaround of your laundry, this may take up to 24 hours.
Iron and iron boards are available from reception free of charge.
