In light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to suspend our in house art, craft and activity holidays until the New Year. While we were really looking forward to welcoming all our guests back to the house, we have since realised that this would not be possible. It’s a real disappointment not only to us, but to our tutors as well. The house will re-open in the New Year and our art, craft and activity holidays will recommence on the 28th February 2021.
We can’t wait to welcome you back!
Full details for all our holidays are available below. If you have any question, you may like to take a look at our FAQs but if you have any further queries, please contact our team directly.

I am extremely impressed with the quality of service and care given to the guests at Gartmore House. The place is warm and comfortable, the food is excellent and the staff are wonderful. I have visited before and will do so again. Thank you for facilitating what has been a wonderful break for me.
I would just like to say it has been an excellent stay and thank you to all the staff. Comfy, clean accommodation, lovely setting. Excellent food (compliments to the chefs) and good service throughout, especially at mealtimes. A special thanks to Alan for taking us on our excursions and for checking my tyres for me, very much appreciated.
A fantastic experience in a stunning location. Staff are fantastic – very helpful and flexible and always want to please. Thursday entertainment was excellent. Final dinner in dining room a nice touch. Thank you.
Have to rave about the front desk and wait staff – all excellent, efficient, friendly and accommodating. The meals totally rocked. Fresh, diverse, well-prepared and plated. So glad to have found this place. Really enjoyed my time here.
This course is always so enjoyable and instructive. The tutor is excellent and allows us to work on our own projects at our own pace whilst giving great advice, support and teaching. The atmosphere at Gartmore House is just amazing – making it feel like a home rather than a ‘centre’. The staff – every one of them is so friendly and interested in what is being created and how we are progressing, which is great. Thank you for another great weekend and we will be back!
